Source hierarchy
We prefer current solicitations, amendments, regulations, statutes, agency guidance, award records, wage determinations, and other primary materials. Reputable secondary sources may add context, but they should not silently replace the controlling source.
Dates and scope
Material facts should carry enough context to be checked, including relevant dates, jurisdiction, program, agency, or contract scope. Examples and representative data are labeled so they are not mistaken for live listings.
Corrections
Substantive correction requests are reviewed against the strongest available evidence. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly. Material revisions should retain an updated date or correction note when the prior version could have affected a reader's decision.
Commercial independence
Advertising, affiliate relationships, and sponsorships, if introduced, will be clearly labeled. Payment will not purchase a favorable conclusion, hidden endorsement, or editorial ranking.
Conflicts and uncertainty
Relevant financial or personal conflicts should be disclosed. When sources conflict or the available record does not support a firm conclusion, the site should say so instead of manufacturing certainty.
